4th International Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval

29 September - 2 October 2013, Copenhagen, Denmark

ICTIR is the premier conference of theoretical information retrieval (IR), covering a broad spectrum of diverse research areas that are concerned with mathematical/formal aspects of IR, including foundational issues, description or integration of models, retrieval applications, mathematical/formal techniques, existing and/or new theories and theoretical aspects. There are two exciting new developments in ICTIR 2013: the conference program will include a call for tutorials, as well as a lively Oxford-style debate on the significance of theoretical IR to modern day search engines.

On behalf of the organising committee, we invite you to join us in Copenhagen for ICTIR 2013!

Birger Larsen, Christina Lioma, Peter Ingwersen
